Abstract
The possibilities of reconstructing the characteristics of inhomogenei ties in ultrasonic imaging are investigated numerically and on the bas is of physical modeling in application to medical diagnostic and nonde structive testing problems. The effectiveness of using shadow methods to suppress background interference from direct illumination is analyz ed. Inhomogeneities are reconstructed from experimental data obtained in measurements under physical modeling conditions.
