Abstract
The temperature distribution in the waveguide channel of a millimeter- band thermal noise generator is calculated. It is shown that, under ce rtain conditions, it is governed solely by the temperature-dependence of the thermal conductivity of the waveguide material. The calculated distribution enables the error due to the uncertainty in this distribu tion to be reduced by 20-30%.
