Fermions are introduced by means of the bigraded algebra formalism, de
signed for the construction of models with spontaneously broken gauge
symmetry in the general context of non-commutative geometry (NCG). Rep
resentations are derived from the general unitary group SU (n + 1) emp
loyed as a prototype in a C2,4 algebra, In the explicitly illustrated
n = 2 case of a model for the electroweak interaction with minimal fer
mionic content, results from variant approaches in NCG settings are re
produced. The pattern developed augments these approaches in the const
ruction of more realistic models involving higher algebras and other c
lasses of groups or SU (n/1) supergroups.
