Abstract
We discuss supersymmetry breakdown in effective supergravities such as emerge in the low-energy limit of superstring theory. Without specify ing the precise trigger of the breakdown, we analyse the soft paramete rs in the Lagrangian of the supersymmetrized Standard Model.
