Abstract
The biology and behaviour of urban pigeons is presented in this articl e. When changes in the population density of pigeons by capture, shoot ing, or intoxication are intended, the breeding behaviour has to be co nsidered. A constant reduction of pigeons according to the law for the prevention of cruelty against animals can only be achieved by a restr icted feeding if feeding at all.
