Abstract
Unisexual poeciliid fishes collected from two localities in the Soto l a Marina drainage have been analyzed. Unisexual diploid and triploid s pecimens with anomalous karyotypes were found among karyotypically nor mal specimens. Chromosomal data are discussed in light of the origin o f clonal diversity in unisexual/bisexual breeding complexes and with r egard to the role of triploids in these breeding complexes.
