Abstract
The EPR spectra of manganese doped PbTiO3 ceramics and single crystals reveal Mn4+ and Mn2+ incorporated in the oxygen octahedron. Mn4+ is l ocated exactly at Ti4+ site whereas the position of Mn2+ is near to th e centre of the oxygen octahedron. Both follow the collective motion o f the Ti4+ sublattice. In case of additional doping with La3+ the Mn2 ion undergoes a thermally excited hopping with correlation times near T(c) of the order of 10(-10) sec.
