Abstract
Acid-base properties of water solutions of polyacrylamide and hydrolyz ed polyacrylamides with different degrees of hydrolysis were studied b y method of pH-metric titration. The acid-base equilibrium constants o f polyacrylamide solutions were determined. Based on the acid-base pro perties determined, we attempt to explain the changes in the rheologic al properties of the polymers, which occur over time and in a wide ran ge of pH values.
