The content and distribution of luminophor additives in PMMA was deter
mined by the GPC method using refractometric and photometric detectors
. PMMA was obtained in the presence of vinyldiphenyloxadiazole, 9-viny
lanthracene, and 7-diethylamino-4-methylcoumarin. Due to its double bo
nds, vinyldiphenyloxadiazole becomes completely incorporated in PMMA,
and does not influence the kinetics of polymerization and MWD. 9-vinyl
anthracene is only partly involved in the copolymerization reaction wi
th MMA, decreasing both the polymerization rate and the mean molecular
weights of the polymer. 7-diethylamino-4-methylcoumarin, which is a p
art of the initiating complex along with dicyclohexylperoxydicarbonate
, forms the end groups of PMMA macromolecules.
