Abstract
Data are presented on the variation of the conversion and of the intri nsic viscosity of the polymer in the course of acrylonitrile polymeriz ation initiated by tris-pi-allylchromium in dimethylformamide. Some st ructural characteristics of polyacrylonitrile are also presented. The factors determining the relative role of deactivation of growing chain s in the process studied are discussed.
