Abstract
Formation of complexes of copolymers of N-(2-hydroxypropyl)methacrylam ide and methacrylic acid, and its glycine and beta-alanine derivatives , with Cu(II) ions in aqueous solutions was studied by ESR. It was fou nd that the composition and structure of complexes depend considerably on the content and nature of the functional groups, the degree of the ir neutralization, the molecular mass of ligands, and the initial rati o of components. It was shown that copolymers of N-(2-hydroxypropyl)me thacrylamide and methacrylic acid form carboxylate complexes, and amin o derivatives of methacrylic acid can form chalate structures as well.
