Abstract
The determination of the composition of thin films by proton backscatt ering analysis requires accurate cross section database. In the proton energy region of 2.5-4.8 MeV, deviations from pure Rutherford cross s ections become significant for many elements. Results for proton elast ic scattering on F, Cl, Zn, Se and Br in this energy region are presen ted and discussed from the analytical point of view.
