Abstract
By using a LiF:F2- crystal as a passive Q-switching modulator an avera ge output power of 220 W was achieved from a Nd:YAG slab laser. The os cillator-amplifier resonator configuration under investigation deliver ed a peak pulse power up to 3 MW and a pulse energy of 0.31 J, pulse w idth of 100 ns.
