Abstract
Botanamphora NOGRASEK & SCHEUER is a nomenclatural synonym of Trematos phaeria FUCKEL. The unitunicate pyrenomycete described by NOGRASEK & S CHEUER as Botanamphora pachycarpa (SACC. & El. MARCHAL) NOGRASEK & SCH EUER is not identical with the type material of Leptosphaeria pachycar pa SACC. & El. MARCHAL which has bitunicate asci and belongs to the ge nus Trematosphaeria. Both fungi are redescribed and illustrated. Herba mpulla crassirostris gen. et spec. nov. is described to accommodate th e unitunicate taxon.
