Abstract
Some carboxylesterases (EC 3.1.1.1) and one cholinesterase were identi fied among multiple forms of non-specific esterases of whitefish that were revealed by using polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Two carboxy lesterases, one of which (Q-E-1) is localized in the region of the gel anodal to the ablumines and the other one (Q-E-6) is localized in the region of the gel catodal to the transferrin, are coded by two (A, B) and four (A, B, C, D) codominant alleles, respectivtey. In the Vym po pulation of the whitefish the allele Q-E-1(B) is of rare occurrence (0 .004), the frequency of alleles Q-E-6(A), Q-E-6(B), Q-E-6(C) and Q-E-6 (D) are 0.584; 0.107; 0.305 and 0.004, respectively.
