Abstract
A procedure for the modification of linear and branched poly(ethylenim ines) using acrylates was developed. Complexes of copper(II) chloride with N-substituted polyamines of the composition N : Cu = 2 and 4 were synthesized and their structure was studied using FTIR spectroscopy. It was shown that the coordination sphere of the metal ion involves al l the nitrogen atoms of the main chain, approximately half of the carb onyl groups of the substituents at the nitrogen atom, and water molecu les.
