Abstract
Pelvic lymphadenectomy is a well established method for staging carcin oma of the bladder and prostate. Usually it is done by open surgery, b ut we now report preliminary experience with the laparoscopic approach . The technique is described in detail, and the results seem to indica te that the procedure is safe, has few complications and gives less pa in than open surgery, with rapid recovery and early postoperative disc harge from hospital.
