C. Perezinigo et C. Perezinigo, ORIBATID MITES (ACARI, ORIBATEI) FOUND ON BRANCHES OF ARAUCARIA-ANGUSTIFOLIA IN BRAZIL, Acarologia, 34(2), 1993, pp. 167-176
Five new species and a new subspecies of oribatid mites obtained from
branches of Araucaria angustifolia at 10 m above the ground level in S
anta Catarina State (Brazil) are described. These species are the foll
owing : Humerobates flechtmanni n.sp., Galumna mystax n.sp., Oripoda a
raucariae n.sp., Ceratozetes catarinensis n.sp. and Trichoribates serr
atus n.sp. ; the new subspecies is Dometorina plantivaga brasiliana n.
subsp., A cosmopolitan arboreal oribatid mite, Camisia segnis (HERMANN
, 1804), has been also found.
