OBSERVATIONS ON XIPHINEMA-PARITALIAE LOOF AND SHARMA, 1979 (=X-DOLOSUM BOS AND LOOF, 1985 N SYN) WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE MALE (NEMATA, LONGIDORIDAE)

The study of populations of Xiphinema paritaliae Loof & Sharma, 1979 f rom Martinique and Guiana, as well as of other specimens from Suriname , Peru, and of type specimens of X. paritaliae and X. dolosum Bos & Lo of, 1985, led the authors to synonymize the two species. The descripti on of the female is completed, and a complete description of the male is given for the first time. X. paritaliae is remarkable in the except ional variability of the Z differentiation.
