Abstract
The present study is occupied with the epidemiology and the developmen t of the manic syndrome affective and schizoaffective psychoses as wel l as the psychosocial consequences of these syndromes. This study is b ased on the case histories of 96 patients. All of them were treated be tween January 1986 and December 1990 in the Psychiatric State Hospital Weissenau.
