THE MAIN PROBLEMS OF THE OPTICS OF THE SEA

This review is devoted to an exposition of the main results involving the optics of the sea and its most important unsolved problems. It dis cusses optical remote methods of studying the ocean, the optical prope rties of water, light fields in the sea, the optics of an agitated sur face, the optics of the atmosphere over the ocean, and underwater visi bility.
