Luminescence of singlet oxygen at 1287 nm in the C60 solid film with l
ongwave and continuous excitation (514.5, 670 and 1064 nm) is studied.
The twofold increase of the siglet-oxygen luminescence intensity with
excitation at 670 nm in comparison with one at 514.5 nm is observed.
A band of photo-luminescence in C60 at 13300 cm-1 is observed. It is f
ound that the quantum yield of this luminescence decreases when the ex
citation wavelength changes from lambda(i) - 514.5 nm to lambda(i) = 6
47.1 nm. From an analysis of the photoluminescence intensity at evacua
ting air we have concluded that oxygen molecules are trapped in a surf
ace layer of the C60 solid film.
