EFFECT OF LITHIUM-SALTS ON THE MICROSTRUCTURE OF THE THYMUS AND ON VITAMIN-C CONTENT IN SOME LYMPHATIC ORGANS, THE LIVER AND SUPRARENAL GLANDS IN F1 MOUSE CROSSES (CBA X C57BL)
W. Ficek et al., EFFECT OF LITHIUM-SALTS ON THE MICROSTRUCTURE OF THE THYMUS AND ON VITAMIN-C CONTENT IN SOME LYMPHATIC ORGANS, THE LIVER AND SUPRARENAL GLANDS IN F1 MOUSE CROSSES (CBA X C57BL), Toxicology and industrial health, 9(3), 1993, pp. 485-491
The admnistration of lithium chloride (LiCl) to mice by intraperitonea
l injection caused involution in the thymus, both in the cortex and me
dulla. Lithium also considerably decreased vitamin C (ascorbic acid) c
ontent in all of the organs that were studied: thymus, lymph nodes, sp
leen, suprarenal glands, and liver.
