Abstract
Four different pelleted feeds prepared using different plant matter vi z. Padina, Elodea, Lemna and Bruguiera have been tried for their growt h, conversion efficiency and moulting in M. idella. Of the four plants , Elodea proved best to be incorporated in prawn diets. The study reve aled that M. idella requires a more proteinaceous and animal matter su pplemented diet rather than an exclusive plan diet.
