Abstract
HY-APATITE 1 is a high-purity calcium hydroxyapatite with primary appl ication in the medical field, for bone implants. Its suitability as a liquid chromatographic (LC) column packing material for the analysis o f sugars, alkaloids, enzymes and proteins was investigated. Experiment s with sintered HY-APATITE were promising. The regular material was fo und to be mechanically unstable and, therefore, not suitable for LC. R esults are presented for both regular and sintered HY-APATITE columns.
