Abstract
The solid state decomposition of YBa2Cu3O7-x (1-2-3) has been determin ed by thermogravimetric analysis and X-ray diffraction over the range of oxygen partial pressure 10(-5)-1 atm and the temperature range 400- 950-degrees-C. The derived phase stability diagram contains fields of stability of 1-2-3, [Y2BaCuO5 (2-1-1)+BaCuO2+Cu2O], [2-1-1+BaCuO2+BaCu 2O2], [2-1-1 +YBa3Cu2Ox (1-3-2)+BaCu2O2] and [2-1-1+BaCu2O2+BaO].
