Abstract
The paper presents a new boundary element approach which introduces a ''source line''. It is very effective for higher order singularity. Th e scheme will be discussed in some detail with plane elasticity. Numer ical results for meshes with unequal boundary elements are reported. H igher precision than the general boundary element method is obtained f or both deflection and force.
