Abstract
The internal stress associated with dislocation walls is calculated fo r the following cases: infinite periodic wall, disordered wall, incomp lete walls or dihedral walls. The relation between the internal stress and the flow stress is discussed. Scaling laws connecting the latter with the spatial distribution of dislocations are derived.
