Abstract
The activation energy for cross-slip in f.c.c. crystals is calculated. The usual ambiguity due to the uncertain inner cut-off radius for dis locations is avoided by including explicitly the core energy. The nume rical results are described by appropriately scaled analytical interpo lation formulae.
