Abstract
The fundamental problem of glissile dislocations interacting with a pe rfectly bounded interface is revisited. The crossing of such an obstac le is assumed to be exclusively controlled by the elastic modulus effe ct and is dealt with in terms of energy. The strength of interfaces is examined vs. the applied stress and the pile-up stress for screw disl ocations.
