Abstract
Spectral characteristics of the super structure grating (SSG) DBR lase rs are studied under broad range wavelength tuning. SSG DBR lasers sho w good spectral characteristics with broad range wavelength tunability . Under the directly intensity modulated condition, stable single long itudinal mode oscillations are also obtained over the broad wavelength tuning range.
