Abstract
A model of the evaporation of coal-water mixture droplets was develope d, based on the concept of variable mass and using the moisture conten t as the scalar parameter. The model treats the droplet as a heterogen eous mixture of pulverized coal and water. Previous work using liquid droplet description is shown not to be suitable for coal-water mixture .
