Abstract
The ESR technique was used to investigate the time evolution of a gamm a-irradiated model rubber (ethylene-propylene copolymer loaded with an tioxidant containing NH functional group ). Measurements have been per formed at different temperatures in the (77-333) K range. Two differen t kinds of radicals (polymer and NO-degrees) have been identified and their activation energy, related to the post-irradiation behaviour. ev aluated. The results suggested the formation of NO-degrees through a b imolecular process.
