Abstract
Operational principle and performance characteristics of LEA-type low- energy electron accelerators are described, which were developed to me et the requirements of industrial curing applications. LEA accelerator s are applied for curing of solvent-free coatings on web and sheet mat erials as well as for drying of printing inks. Examples of their appli cations in pilot scale units are given and experiments are discussed w here a LEA accelerator was used for the electron beam degradation of c hlorinated hydrocarbons in air.
