A. Ansary et Ja. Deabreugarcia, A COMPUTATIONALLY ATTRACTIVE SYSTEM MODEL USING A NOVEL ONE-SIDED TRANSFORMATION, Journal of the Franklin Institute, 330(4), 1993, pp. 677-684
A new representation for systems' dynamic equations is introduced. Fir
st, the Householder QR factorization is used to decompose the system m
atrix. The result is then used to transform the original system model
into a specially structured representation via a one-sided transformat
ion. Next, the structural properties of this representation are develo
ped. Then, an example is given to numerically verify the proposed meth
od. Finally, some potential advantages of using such representation, w
ith regard to computational cost and error, in control system analysis
and design is discussed.
