Trichophyton gallinae is a parasitic dermatophyte of fowl and induces
in these birds a favus called << white comb >>, owing to the lesions a
ppearance. The typical biological characteristics of this fungus are d
escribed. A macroscopic, microscopic and histological description of t
he lesions obtained upon experimental inoculation of hen with T. galli
nae is exposed.
