Abstract
We describe the synthesis of a series of new unsymmetrically substitut ed tetraselena- and dithiadiselenafulvalenes bearing one or two functi onalities such as diethylacetal, formyl or hydroxymethyl groups. The p hysical properties and spectroscopic data of these new pi-donors are r eported.
