Abstract
The three step synthesis of 2,3,6,7-Tetrakis(methylthio)naphthalene (T MTN) 1 is described. The title donor gives a 1: 1 salt with hexafluoma rsenate anion. The crystal structure consists of a dimerized donor sta ck, with alternate stacking. The conductivity is activated, room tempe rature conductivity; almost-equal-to 10(-3).10-4 Scm-1. The susceptibi lity is quite low, chi(300K)= 7-10(-7) emu/mol, and the ESR linewidth is DELTAB(pp)(300K)almost-equal-to 5 G. [GRAPHICS]
