Abstract
We report measurements of both Shubnikov-de Haas and de Haas-van Alphe n oscillations in the organic metal alpha-(BEDT-TTF)2KHg(SCN)4. We fin d a strongly field dependent splitting of the oscillations which we at tribute to the two-dimensional nature of the compound. A metallic resi stivity but no superconductivity is observed down to 50 mK.
