Nonlinear changes of the reflection coefficient are computed at fast w
ave launching by a waveguide array; namely, the case of an eventual fa
st wave experiment on the FTU tokamak is considered. In the case of lo
w plasma density gradients, the reflection coefficient may significant
ly change at the wave power in the range of several kilowatts per cent
imetre square because of the ponderomotive force effects.
