T. Vrabely, ECG AND ULTRASONIC FINDINGS OF MYOCARDIAL LESIONS CAUSED BY LYMPHOID LEUKOSIS IN A DOG, Magyar allatorvosok lapja, 51(5), 1996, pp. 295-297
Significant swelling of regional lymph nodes, enlargement of liver and
spleen were found by physical examination in an 11 years old Hungaria
n vizsla male dog. The examination of blood revealed leukocytosis, inc
reased LDH and CK values. Bigemina and trigemina rhythm, as well as pa
roxysmal ventricular tachycardia were diagnosed by EKG (Figs 1 and 2).
Left atrial and left ventricular dilatation were observed during the
echocardiographic examination (Fig 3). Lymphoid leukosis was diagnosed
during both the gross- and histopathological investigations followed
the extermination of the dog. Leukosis tissue proliferation developed
diffuse in the right atrium and circumscribed in the left ventriculum
were in the background of the observed severe cardiologic alterations.
