Vm. Rusalov et al., BIOELECTRICAL CORTICAL ACTIVITY OF PERSON S WITH DIFFERENT TYPES OF TEMPERAMENT, Zurnal vyssej nervnoj deatelnosti im. I.P. Pavlova, 43(3), 1993, pp. 530-542
The goal of the paper was to reveal integral characteristics of temper
ament related to the peculiarities of interhemispheric interaction. Wi
th this aim in view, the types of temperament were studied in persons
with different professional orientation. The temperament type with a <
<strong>> nervous system and a higher capacity for work was shown to b
e characterized by a higher level of synchronization of biopotentials
in the frontal regions of the brain, and that between the distant brai
n areas (frontal and occipital ones) as well as by more intensive acti
vation of the right hemisphere in the process of mental work. This typ
e of temperament was more often found among the persons whose professi
on was connected with artistic creative activity.
