Diffusion bonding is an attractive joining process, both for thick sec
tion material and for sheet, when combined with superplastic forming.
The diffusion bonding parameters for IMI 834 have been investigated. J
oints made at 990-degrees-C, and at 950-degrees-C with post bonding he
at treatment, exhibited parent metal mechanical properties. The sensit
ivity to bond quality of tensile, shear, and impact testing is compare
