Abstract
Isozyme electrophoresis, using polyacrylamide acrylamide gradient gel electrophoresis has been applied to leaf extracts from 12 commercial a pple varieties. The oxidative enzymes peroxidase and catechol oxidase show sufficient polymorphism to allow unique identification of most of the varieties tested.
