Abstract
Sexually mature redclaw crayfish (C. quadricarinatus) kept at 25-degre
es-C with a 12L:12D photoperiod spawned all year. Females could spawn
twice, and possibly three times, between annual moults but not all fem
ales mated or exhibited multiple spawning. Clutch size (C, no. pleopod
al eggs) was linearly related to female fresh weight (W, g), C=106+6.5
W (r2=0.46), for the size range 13-112 g fresh weight.
