A cell with two sample chambers arranged in sequence is designed to pr
ovide accurate absorption coefficients for the components of binary fl
uid systems at high pressures and temperatures. Once primed, the cell
allows one to obtain results over the whole range of temperature and p
ressure required without disassembly and refilling. The method elimina
tes or at least diminishes most of the possible errors automatically.
