Abstract
Electron drift velocities were measured for argon gas mixtures contain ing 25 ppm to 0.5% boron trichloride additive using a pulsed-Townsend drift tube. These results show a marked sensitivity to mixture ratio a nd the gas mixtures also show negative differential conductivity and s trong attachment at low electric field/gas number density.
