Abstract
The preparation of radioactive targets requires extensive precautions to protect laboratory staff as well as the environment from radiation damage and contamination. In the new hot-lab facility of the Universit y of Munich, which is currently under construction, the technical equi pment for target production will be integrated in a health physics sys tem which meets these conditions in a very satisfactory way. Some deta ils of the layout and the organisation of the laboratory will be given .
