EXAFS spectra of liquid and solid SeTe are analyzed in the temperature
range from 80 K to 735 K at the Te K-edge. Bond lengths of first near
est Te-Se and Te-Te are 2.59 angstrom and 2.83 angstrom in the solid s
tate and 2.53 angstrom and 2.75 angstrom in the liquid state, respecti
vely. The mean square relative displacement for Te-Te decreases discon
tinuously at the melting point.
