Abstract
Short-lasting chronic testosterone administration did not change the c ourse of cluster headache in seven chronic sufferers, whereas it enhan ced sexual excitement in comparison with male control subjects who rec eived the same treatment. We postulate that the sexual excitement indu ced in cluster headache sufferers by chronic treatment with testostero ne relates to an impairment of neuronal modulation in this disorder.
